Several Ohio MSAs moved up in an annual ranking of 200 major metropolitan areas’ job market and technology muscle, compiled by the Milken Institute.
In its annual gauge of job growth, wage conditions and technological output, California-based Milken ranked the Cincinnati-Middletown area 138th out of 200 major metros. That’s up from 173 last year.
While Cincinnati's job growth was down 2.6 percent over the past year, it ranked 66th for GDP growth from 2003-08.
Columbus was the highest-placing Ohio city at 108, up from 135 in 2008.
