cityLIVE!, a
free monthly series of events showcasing the creative, intellectual
talent of Pittsburgh, continues to redefine the civic ethos of the
Steel City.
Last week, a crowd of 500 gathered for a cityLIVE!
event called "Building Blocks for Education", which sought answers to
why every child in urban America doesn't have access to the best
education possible and how providing that solid education could be made
possible.
CEOs for Cities says that the event was co-hosted by
the 28 organizations making up its Pittsburgh cluster, which helped
launch a special
Kidsburgh page on Soapbox's sister publication,
Pop City in conjunction with the event.
The
success of cityLIVE! and its engaging events has led to a plan for the
website to begin posting full event videos, meaning that everyone in
Pittsburgh and beyond will have access to these examinations of urban
transformation.
