Yankees snubbed by Cincinnati's Driehaus

Congressman Steve Driehaus (D-OH) joined 27 other members of Congress in voting against a resolution that congratulated the New York Yankees on winning their 27th World Series title.  A typically ceremonious vote turned down baseball lines.

While no resolution since 1973 honoring a past World Series champion has drawn a negative vote, members across the nation voted against this resolution that still passed easily. Cincinnati's Steve Driehaus said, "they bought a World Series."
