New York Times bestselling author, Kim Harrison writes a science fiction series known as "Black Magic Sanction." Based on witches, werewolves, and vampires, Harrison sets the book in Cincinnati. The author decided to use a real mid-western city due to the great tunnels under the city from the Underground Railroad and the alleged grave robbing performed by teaching hospitals years ago. Harrison hopes to show people with her writing that she writes about real people and their accomplishments, despite the science fiction genre.
