Coverage continues in Dayton: a timeline of the shooting in the Oregon District

“In less time than it takes to warm a cup of coffee, Connor Betts murdered nine people and injured dozens more,” wrote Chris Stewart in a story for the Dayton Daily News that was compiled by viewing police logs, 911 calls, hospital reports, videos, and interviewed eyewitnesses.


“In less than one minute, Dayton officers neutralized the shooter,” said Mayor Nan Whaley. “That saved literally hundreds of lives.”


But the destruction and horror that transpired during that short time has residents of Dayton — and elsewhere — calling for reform.
