Cincinnati ranks among top cities for recent business graduates

Cincinnati ranks among the top cities for business graduates to move, according to a new report.

The Queen City ranks No. 20 among 30 cities included in a report released from online websites Business.org and Move.org.

Topping the list was Washington, D.C., followed by Denver, Boston, Seattle and Minneapolis.

To determine the top 30 cities for business graduates to move, three metrics were examined:
  • Unemployment rate
  • Number of job openings per 1,000 in a business or financial occupation
  • Average cost of living and hourly wage.

From there, researchers weighted the number of job openings as the key ranking factor, then cost of living compared to median wage and finally the overall unemployment rate in each city.

Business.org provides reviews and recommendations on services and software. Move.org provides recommendations related to moving costs.
