Both Procter & Gamble and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center are recognized in the top 40 employers of the Forbe's list for America's Best Employers for diversity. Major regional employers including Kroger Co., PNC, Huntington Bank, GE Electric, and Fidelity Investments have been ranked among the top 200 firms with the most diverse workforces. With active African American, Chinese, European, Hispanic, Indian, and Gay Chambers' of Commerce, the Cincinnati region might surprise those who don't automatically think of "diversity" when our Midwest city is mentioned. Home to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, the region boasts learning centers like UC's Center for Jewish Culture and Ideas, and the Minority Business Accelerator founded by Cincinnati Chamber. Events like the Panegyri Greek Festival, Asian Food Fest Cincinnati, Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky Pride parades, and My Black Family Reunion demonstrate we know how to celebrate our neighbors' diversity as well.
