What do you do in your new position?
I'm a part of a four-person content team that writes and edits all the articles and blog posts for SparkPeople, the most active healthy lifestyle site on the web. We develop new targeted content centers, write posts about the latest fitness and nutrition news, and stay in touch with our audience through social media.

What do you like best about this job?
I've been on a very long journey of weight loss and healthy living for the past several years. Working at SparkPeople helps keep me committed to my goals. I use all the tools on the website to track my fitness and food. I even use The Spark, which is our brand new activity tracker. You just clip it to your shoe and it keeps track of steps and exercise minutes. It even knows if I've been for a walk or on the elliptical or using a stationary bike.

Whenever I have a question about how to do a particular exercise or how to stretch a sore muscle, I just hop onto the site and find the answer. It's kind of amazing!

SparkPeople is a small company and it feels like I go to work with a bunch of friends every day. I haven't even been there for six months yet and I already feel like I'm a part of a family.

What's great about living/working in Cincinnati?
Cincinnati is an easy city to live in. I have a very short commute and, even once our office moves downtown, it still won't be bad.

What part of town do you live in and what do you most like about the neighborhood in which you live?
Madisonville. I have wonderful, friendly neighbors and I love to walk my dogs around the hilly streets and through neighboring Mariemont
