UC receives $3M to boost co-op program

The University of Cincinnati has received $3 million from the state's $22.7 million Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program, which aims to attract, retain and graduate students into the high-demand science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine fields of study.

Under the program, the university plans to attract and graduate 215 new students over the next four years.

The university reports that, along with classroom time, students will have access to the world-recognized cooperative education program, gaining real-life job experience with the more than 500 partner businesses throughout the state.

The scholarships amount to approximately $4,000 annually per student selected to the program.
