Tata reversing outsourcing trend

Even as 51,000 jobs were lost in July, companies such as Tata Consultancy Services are insourcing more jobs to the United States.

Although they've had sales offices in the country for years, Tata's new office in Clermont County is their first location to house day-to-day, nuts-and-bolts operations.

Proximity to clients is cited as the main reason for their move, but knowledge of the market also played an important role.

"We want to have a good understanding of the market, so hiring local talent provides that," Tata spokesman Mike McCabe tells ABC News.  "Obviously, they're the people who know the market."
