The opening of Tata Consultancy Services' (TCS) new IT facility in Milford is a clear indication of a new trend in outsourcing - India outsourcing tech services to the United States.

Economists point to the fall of the dollar and the subsequent rise of the rupee, along with rising Indian labor costs, for this shift in talent and capital.

And according to BusinessWeek, the low cost of living of markets such as Cincinnati could help steer IT firms seeking to locate new American facilities away from the major tech hubs, making them ripe for outsourcing businesses.

Although John Bostick, chief executive of dbaDirect in Florence, worries about the increased competition for talent, he believes that companies like TCS will help the local economy by bringing capital to the area.
