National Karaoke championships growing in popularity

In only its second year, the 2008 Karaoke World Championships USA National Competition (KWCUSA) has a bigger venue, more buzz, and has created an overnight international celebrity.

Held last year at the Hamilton County Fair, KWCUSA will move to the outdoor stage at Kings Island's International Bandstand Theatre on September 20.

Last year's first place male winner, Michael Moses Griffin, has received Facebook requests from around the world and has been invited to perform at several KWC events.

The male and female winners of this year's KWCUSA will receive hotel, airfare, and $1,200 cash to represent the U.S. in the world competition October 23-25 in Lahiti, Finland.
