John Pepper has committed himself to making sure that everyone has the same access to opportunity that he did.
The State, the major daily newspaper of Columbia, South Carolina, profiles the former
Procter & Gamble chairman and CEO during his recent visit.
According to the article, Pepper says that, throughout his career, his twin interests are ensuring the greatest possible education opportunities for everyone and broadening the gender, ethnic and racial diversity in the companies he has helped run.
As keynote speaker for a fundraiser at
Benedict College, a historically black private school, Pepper said that "you can't get the best talent if you aren't reaching out to all races and genders."
