General Electric wins $148,000 award from NASA

The General Electric Company wins a $148,000 award from NASA's Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate, one of only four winners in Ohio.

Their proposal, "Ductile Coating for Turbine Disk Hot Corrosion Protection", finished second behind an entry from Cleveland State University and ahead of entries from the Universities of Dayton and of Akron.

NASA researchers work alongside government agencies, industry, and academia to improve the safety of current and future aircraft.
