Cincinnati is one of 16 regional host sites for the second annual Construction Challenge
, an event that is expected to include a total of more than 5,000 middle and high school students from the United States and Canada.

, the competition allows teams of five to seven youths to collaborate and solve challenges based in manufacturing design, service tech, and critical infrastructure issues.
Winners of the February 7 regionals will advance to the championships in Knoxville, May 19-23.
During the competition, participants will also learn about career opportunities in the construction trades, a sector in which more than 1 million new jobs are expected to be created by 2012.
