Cincinnati Weight Loss Center first in Ohio to offer incisionless procedure

The Cincinnati Weight Loss Center is among the first weight loss surgery centers in the U.S. - and the first in Ohio - to offer an incisionless surgical procedure to reverse weight gain following gastric bypass surgery.

According to the article in the Earth Times, the "ROSE" (Restorative Obesity Surgery, Endolumenal) procedure uses an endoscope to reduce the size of a patient's stomach pouch and stoma to its original post-bypass proportions.

This less-invasive form of surgery reduces the risk of infection and other complications, leaves no scars, and significantly reduces recovery times.

It is estimated that 44 percent of gastric bypass patients begin to gain weight within a few years following the operation.
