To be recognized publicly as one of the best libraries in the state is really a tribute to the Library's staff and the Board of Trustees and their dedication to our community.”

The HALPR Index includes 15 factors with a focus on each libraries circulation, staffing, materials, reference service and funding levels. Population is also a consideration. And while the use of technology is increasing in libraries throughout the nation in regards to offering Internet service and online reference searches, not enough libraries are able to provide accurate data for a reasonable comparison for the HALPR Index.
