Cincinnati to offer new small biz contracts

The City of Cincinnati unveiled more than 700 contract purchasing opportunities valued at more than $200 million for small business owners.  The contracts are viewed by some as an opportunity to address minority contract deals.

The African American Chamber of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky teamed with the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati for the announcement this past Tuesday.  The presentation looked at some of the recommendations from the OPEN Cincinnati Task force which suggested the city grow the number of city contracts with local, minority-owned businesses.
