The international brand design industry will converge in Cincinnati in June. DMI, Design Management Institute, will hold its 20th Brand/Design Conference in this capital of branding. Some of the nation’s leading experts in the field will be featured speakers, including Stanley Hainsworth of Starbucks, Rosaline Yin of Kodak, Stephen J. Hoch of The Wharton School, and Dev Patnaik of Jump Associates.

The conference is chaired by Jerome Kathman, CEO of Cincinnati-based brand design firm LPK, and Amy Brusselback, global design director for Procter & Gamble. The Cincinnati Brand Design Alliance, a consortium of several branding firms, is helping to sponsor the event.

The institute noted Cincinnati’s role in the development of brand design and the number of leading brand design firms in the city in its decision to hold the conference here. “Today, Cincinnati is to brands what New York’s Madison Avenue is to advertising,” says Kevin Dugan of FRCH Design Worldwide.
