A new interactive website is helping to spread the word to community developers about training sessions in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Citizen Resources at Work offers information about upcoming trainings in categories such as capacity building, economic development, fundraising, planning and sustainable building.
Attendees can then rate the effectiveness of the training sessions directly on the website, allowing planners and trainers to tweak their programs.
"Reviews of trainings on the CRAW site are well thought out and usually very helpful - much more so than the typical checkoff list evaluation folks hand in as they're leaving a training and rushing to get home," says Patricia Garry, executive director of the
Community Development Corporation Associations of Greater Cincinnati (CDCAGC).
Citizen Resources at Work is funded by the
Seasongood Good Government Foundation, who put out a request for proposals for a comprehensive trainings website in the spring of 2007.
The CDCAGC, which has hosted similar content on its own website and has very strong community connections, was eventually selected.
Project partners also include the
Community Building Institute and the
Local Initiatives Support Corporation.
