Choice. Innovation. Community support. Lifelong learning.
Not many major cities can describe their education systems with these powerful words. Partnerships begin with world-class universities and colleges that provide outstanding curriculum for cultivating tomorrow’s educators. Public and private primary and secondary schools increasingly offer accommodations and opportunities for students with learning disabilities, gifted aptitudes, and English as a second language. Over 8,000 children have received tuition assistance at more than 178 eligible Cincinnati Preschool Promise approved and community-based, private, and public pre-schools. Learning does not stop at school. An extensive system of public libraries throughout Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky are recognized as industry leaders in the library field. Cincinnati also boasts the oldest membership library west of the Alleghenies, The Mercantile Library.
