What do you do in your new position at the Hamilton County Office of Budget and Strategic Initiatives?
I work with various county departments to monitor and forecast their budgets over the course of the fiscal year. I also work with staff to develop budget savings and ensure they have adequate appropriations to meet service delivery needs.
What do you like best about this job?
Working in this field provides an individual with an opportunity to serve the public and to ensure that they are receiving the maximum quality of service for the taxes they pay. There is also a level of variety in this job that would not be found in similar private sector positions.
What's great about living/working in Cincinnati?
Cincinnati is a unique city unlike any other I have been to. This area boasts unique regional delicacies such as goetta and Cincinnati-style chili. It also has cultural amenities such as the
Museum Center,
Cincinnati Zoo,
Cincinnati Art Museum,
Music Hall, and many more. It also has a vibrant Riverfront with excellent parks found in various neighborhood pockets. It is hard to not have something to do on any weekend in Cincinnati.
What part of town do you live in and what do you most like about the neighborhood in which you live?
I currently live in Alexandria. What sets Alexandria apart is the access to urban amenities and the pleasantries of country life.
