Local doctor receives national attention for COVID-19 vaccine study

Robert Frenck, MD, will lead the human trials that will hopefully help decrease the risk of infection.

In the next few weeks, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center will start human trials for a COVID-19 vaccine.

 

“We are excited about this vaccine and think it has the possibility to decrease the risk of infection from COVID-19,” says Robert Frenck, MD, who will lead the study. Frenck is a professor of pediatrics at the UC College of Medicine, the medical director for the Division of Infectious Diseases, and director of the Vaccine Research Center at Cincinnati Children’s.
