Cincinnati native starts monthly gathering in New York to celebrate all things Cincinnati
Cincinnati native Edward Youkilis opened Edward’s in 2001 on West Broadway. From there he hired a bunch of Cincinnati kids to work the restaurant which inevitably led to the desire for Cincinnati-style chili which then sparked Cincinnati Night. Cincinnati Night started as chili fests back in 2006, but have now have become a monthly event as people demanded more. Now, the last Monday of every month is Cincinnati Night. Youkilis always keeps a stash of Cincinnati-style chili around for his nephew, Kevin Youkilis, who plays for the Boston Red Sox and often drops in with teammates. Read full article here.
