Skinny Legs Pub and Grill coming to Bellevue

Ezra Castle plans to open Bellevue's new neighborhood pub during the first week of June.

Skinny Legs Pub and Grill, housed in a 2,000-square-foot storefront space at 519 Fairfield Avenue, has been gutted and rebuilt with an abundance of dark wood and terra cotta columns.

A "second level" will feature live music on the weekends.

"With the second level, there won't be a bad seat in the house," says Castle, who opened a similar restaurant, Cityside, in Newport last December.  "Everyone will be able to see the bands."

The menu will include fish specialties and other reasonably priced lunch and dinner items.

"We have the best hamburgers on the planet," Castle says.

Castle says that the City of Bellevue was instrumental in getting the business established.

"They were very helpful, from the permitting to working with the historical society on the historic façade," he says.

And he sees the city as a place on the move.

"You've got to go ahead of the curve," Castle says.  "You want to go to a neighborhood on the upswing.  There's great potential here."

Jody Robinson, Bellevue's assistant city administrator, says that Skinny Legs is one of six new business that will open on Fairfield Avenue this month.

  • Tresori, Bohemian women's fashions and accessories
  • Gibson Bakery, featuring regional specialties and gift baskets
  • Adaptique, a hip consignment shop that feature lighting, draperies, and custom draperies
  • yogahOme, with yoga classes, belly dancing and retail offerings
  • La Belle Vintage Boutique, a clothing shop
