What do you do in your new position at CR Architecture + Design?
I'm responsible for managing, designing and implementing project designs and documentation for the firm's hospitality division. As part of my role, I am responsible for working with the client and project staff to fully complete the design process and take it from initial concept into the built environment.

What do you like best about this job?
The ability to lead others and further my passion for detailing and design. I also enjoy being able to mentor others in the field of detailing and documentation.
    
What's great about living/working in Cincinnati?
I enjoy the bigger city atmosphere, combined with a more rural feel. I especially like that, within a few minutes from downtown, you can be practically in the country.

What neighborhood do you live in and what do you like about living there? 
Cincinnati, Anderson Township. I enjoy living in Anderson, because it is close enough to downtown and has a great school system.

What do you do in your new position at Roadtrippers?
Add to or repair the web app at Roadtrippers.com. Primarily, that means programming in Ruby or Javascript. I also get to use a suite of neat tools for testing, monitoring and collaborating.
 
What do you like best about this job?
The culture balances a fun, positive, connected atmosphere with being totally focused on the quality and experience of the project. It’s evident in the product. 
 
What's great about living/working in Cincinnati?
There’s so much going on here! The restaurants are better, the shops are bigger, there are museums, a zoo and several of my favorite music venues.
 
What part of town do you live in, and what do you most like about the neighborhood in which you live?
I live in Hyde Park area. I’ve really enjoyed the snow and Christmas decorations on all the gorgeous homes. When it warms up, I’m really looking forward to exploring the area on foot and checking out the local coffee and art spots.

I love being able to make a living doing something I’m passionate about. I can use my creativity to my advantage. I love having such great co-workers that are not only friendly, but accommodating and open-minded. It makes for an amazing atmosphere.

What's great about living/working in Cincinnati? 
Cincinnati has a lot of growth potential and opportunity in general. It’s great to be a part of this workforce and to help the city grow, and it’s also a great place to raise a family. There are plenty of things to do and see in a small city with “big city flare.” I’m living in a place that is constantly evolving, but it will always still feel like home.

Where do you live and what do you most like about the neighborhood in which you live? 
I live in a small neighborhood just on the outskirts of the city limits, and it’s great to see the area constantly changing with new developments, but all the friendly faces stay the same.

I live in Norwood and I love my neighbors and that the community is full of down-to-earth, hard working, genuine people. Norwood is a growing community that is revitalizing itself and is growing in diversity. And it is so central. I feel like I can get anywhere in 10 minutes!

Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired has recently promoted Jessica Salyers as Development Director and Manager of Communications.

Salyers, a 2006 graduate of the University of Kentucky, recently served as Manager of Development and Media Relations at Clovernook Center and has been with the organization for over six years. In her current role, Jessica will be responsible for fund development, grant writing, major gifts and donor relations. Her previous development experience includes development and special event experience with the American Cancer Society. Salyers also currently serves on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Cincinnati Chapter. She lives in Union, Kentucky with her husband, Matt Salyers.

I’m relatively new to the area, so I love discovering fun things to do and great places to eat. Cincinnati has a lot to offer.
 
Where do you live and what do you most like about the neighborhood in which you live? 
I live in the Monte Casino neighborhood in Covington.  It is an older neighborhood, so most of the lots are separated by large trees.  My backyard feels like an oasis in the middle of the city.
