Soapbox had a chance to take a look inside the studios as well as talk to the players who continue to make the magic happen at the Future of Rock and Roll.

The Soapbox team hit this month's Final Friday in Over-the-Rhine to partake in the neighborhood's eclectic celebration of art and community. The Main Street Business District sees these events as a showcase for the best of Over-the-Rhine's diverse business corridor while highlighting some of the region's brightest and most talented artists in some of the hottest galleries in the city.
 
Rain can't dampen spirit of 4th Annual Second Sunday on Main

This week Soapbox explores Second Sunday on Main, the eclectic neighborhood event presented by the Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce. The festival, now in its fourth season runs every second Sunday of every month through September 14 from 12 – 5 p.m. in historic Over-the-Rhine on Main Street between 13th and Liberty. The once monthly celebration features local live music and celebrity chef demonstrations with wine pairings as well as the opportunity to hit the local shops and vendors. Don't miss Christian Moerlein's City Cornhole tournament in the Beer Garden.
 
Northside Bike Co-op spins new twist on bike advocacy

Anyone mildly interested in bike culture, or even those who haven't ridden a bike since they got their license at 16, should definitely check out the MoBo Bicycle Co-op. This completely volunteer-run collective is working to expand access to bikes, bike maintenance, and education through workshops, community bike rides, bike advocacy, social events and a very cool space in which anyone can learn how to repair and recondition second-hand, recycled, and low-cost bicycles.

For those interested in getting involved, check out the co-op’s 2nd annual fundraiser on May 17th, at Off the Avenue Studio in Northside (1546 Knowlton Ave). For more information visit the MoBo website.

 
Cincinnati loves its Findlay Market Opening Day Parade

Cincinnati is a town that loves a good parade.  On a rainy opening day, the Soapbox video crew, with the help of Findlay Market Marketing Coordinator and resident parade guru Cheryl Eagleson, set out to discover why parades, especially the Reds Opening Day Parade, hold such a special place in our hearts. Be sure to check out the impromptu performance of the Reds song from  two anonymous fans at the end of the video.

Bridge Worldwide

There's a reason why Bridge Worldwide has been listed as one of America's top 25 best places to work for two years in a row. President, Jay Woffington attributes the company's accolades to a combination of  fun and collaboration or "funaboration" as he calls it. His company takes digital media marketing to a whole new level where employees are expected to take an active role in affecting positive change within the company. This fresh approach is anything but "business as usual" but given the amount of growth this company has seen recently, it's clear that it's working. Soapbox staff invaded the swank downtown offices of Bridge Worldwide to have a brief conversation with wunderkind, Jay Woffington.
