Cincinnati and Dayton Broadcasters and Journalists recognized by OSPJ

Hats off to fellow journalists and broadcasters in SW Ohio. Last week, the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists named their 2018 class of Ohio's Best Journalism award winners from across the state. 91.7fm WVXU received twelve 1st and 2nd place awards including first place for Spot News for Ann Thompson's report The Release and Death of North Korean Prisoner Otto WarmbierCincinnati Business Courier, with six awards in the print category, was awarded first place for Page One Design and the coveted Best of Show/Best Weekly Newspaper for print <75,000. 

Among SW Ohio publications and radio/TV stations recognized are Cincy Magazine, Dayton Daily News, Dayton Business Journal, The Cincinnati Enquirer, The Cincinnati Herald, thedaytonmagazine.com, WCPO-TV, WHIO-TV, WKRC-TV, WLWT-TV, www.cincinnatigazette.com and wright.edu/news

In a year that includes The Cincinnati Enquirer winning a Pulitzer Prize for their two year investigation "Seven Days of Heroin," Cincinnati and Dayton journalists remain dedicated, vigilant and tenacious in a disrupted media news environment.
