Kentucky-area Walgreens will offer Kroger meal kits.

Walgreens has started selling Kroger grocery items at one of its stores in Florence with plans to open 12 more Kentucky-based stores early next year. This move is designed to give both companies an advantage in an increasingly competitive marketplace, all while making it easier for time-pressed consumers to shop.

“The Kroger Express concept creates easy access to our most popular Our Brands products through a fill-in grocery shopping experience for Walgreens customers, and our Home Chef Express meal kits provide customers with an on-demand solution for tonight's dinner," said Robert Clark, Kroger’s senior vice president of merchandising.
