As a child, Kendall Bruns was a picky eater. His family moved often because his dad was in the U.S. Air Force, and the one food that made him happy was pizza. Living in a variety of different places taught him to love all styles, and his recently opened U.S. Pizza Museum
in Chicago celebrates everything from crust styles to toppings.
The museum also includes menus and boxes from classic joints, plus a variety of fun pizza-themed memorabilia.
"The U.S. Pizza Museum celebrates all forms of pizza," says Bruns. "It isn’t about us telling people what to like. We want other people to till us what they like. It’s not about ranking. I want to shine a spotlight on the craft. I love so many different kinds, I wouldn’t want to pick just one.”
