Cincinnati is a ‘hippie heaven’

“A 22-year-old standing next to her 53-year-old father, watching a 71-year-old legend play guitar and sing in a 91-year-old theater. Those numbers, my friends, add up to one magical night.”

These are the words of Mark Somerson, managing editor of Columbus Business First, after attending the Bob Weir and Wolf Bros. show at the Taft on March 6.

Somerson explains that he’s seen Weir in Cincinnati before, but not at the Taft — a “gem” — that “seats 2,500 and is as intimate as it gets.”

While at the show, he spoke to fans from all over, and enjoyed a Taft Brewing Gavel Banger IPA during the show, citing that the theater’s craft beer selection is a bonus.
