Cincinnati named one of the best places to visit in September

As summer winds down, travel slows as well. And that makes September a great time to book a trip since it’s still warm enough to enjoy outdoor activities, but destinations are often cheaper and less crowded.

Travel + Leisure picked 10 international places to vacation at the start of fall, and Cincinnati was selected for its location along the Ohio River, plus a combination of the city’s 19th-century history as one of America’s fastest growing and wealthiest towns juxtaposed with its present revitalization, lively waterfront, convenient street cars, and the largest Oktoberfest celebration outside of Munich, which runs Sept. 20-22.
