Purple People Bridge launches new website

The Newport Southbank Bridge Company has just released a new website promoting the historic bridge that has served as a pedestrian-only Ohio River crossing for several years.  The Purple People Bridge has been in operation since May of 2003 after the historic bridge was shut down to railroad traffic in 1987 and automotive traffic in 2001. The bridge is now used as a pedestrian crossing and hosts a variety of events from art installations, wine tastings and private events.  The new website was designed by Covington-based Systems Insight and is looking to continue to promote such activities on the bridge.
