Raiders of the Lost Ark: The ADAPTATION

September 7
Forget about the latest Raiders of the Lost Ark movie – most everyone else has, and get yourself up to Clifton on Sunday, September 7 as Clifton Town Meeting screens "Raiders of the Lost Ark: the Adaptation".  For those unfamiliar with the adaptation, it’s a a faithful, shot-by-shot recreation of the Spielberg original made by three Mississippi boys as they aged from 12-19. Vanity Fair, NPR and Steven Spielberg himself have called it the ultimate fan tribute. Not too many cities get to show the film as the filmmakers are very selective about where they screen. All proceeds from this screening will go toward preservation, beautification and improvement of the Clifton neighborhood. Tickets are now on sale at the Esquire Theatrre. Chris Strompolos, who produced and starred as Indiana Jones will be in attendance and will conduct a talkback about the film. Tickets are $20 for adults (age 16+) and $10 for kids 15 and under with show times at 2 pm and a 7 pm with a reception at 4:30 pm at Olive's restaurant in the Ludlow Garage.
