Corsages & Sneakers
April 18
Prom for most is a high school tradition involving limousines, corsages, expensive dresses and the class clown spiking the punch. But for some, that particular rite of passage was not an option. The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network of Cincinnati - a non-profit working to build respect and awareness of GLBT issues in schools, is setting out to prove everyone deserves to have a magical prom experience. Join the bash as GLSEN presents Prom 2009 at the Contemporary Arts Center this Saturday beginning at 7 p.m. This year's theme is simply, LOVE. The alternative prom gives guests the opportunity to bring a date of their choice, dress how they want and most importantly, love as they want. So grab that fancy dress or throw on a pair of sneakers, it doesn't matter, just get yourself to prom on time! Tickets can be purchased at the door or online Click here for ticket, dinner and guest details.
