Ol’ Blue Eyes + 3
March 27 & 28
“Start spreading the news, I’m leaving today. I want to be a part of it – CincinnatiCincinnati.” Ok, so those might not be the exact lyrics to Frank Sinatra’s classic but they do lend way to introducing the Cincinnati Ballet’s performance of Sinatra Suite + More. This weekend the company will pay tribute to Frankie’s legend with dance to songs such as “Strangers in the Night,” “That’s Life,” and “My Way” as choreographed by renowned Broadway choreographer Twyla Tharp-creator of the original sensual, humorous and tipsy Sinatra Suite in 1984. Accompanying Sinatra will be three other ballets on the bill: George Balanchine’s witty Tarantella, Jessica Lang’s new spin on old Baroque dance La Belle Danse and an experimental world premiere from Devon Carney. The Aronoff Center can’t contain this brilliant performance for long, so don’t miss out. Click here for tickets and show times.
