Heather Britt: Fountain Square

Heather Britt's energy and generosity inspire dancers and non-dancers alike. Whether she's teaching a new routine at Rhythm and Motion, the dance workout program she leads in Cincinnati, or meeting with non-profit executives to plan creative outreach projects, she brings along an easy laugh and contagious enthusiasm. A graduate of Cincinnati's own School for the Creative and Performing Arts, Britt brought her talents back to town after living and working in San Francisco.

City of birth: Cincinnati

Years in Cincinnati: 30

Neighborhood where I live: Clifton Heights

Space that inspires me: I am inspired by the space and energy that is created when groups of people come together to engage and to share in an experience. I personally engage best when moving, so whether it be a flash mob, a Rhythm & Motion dance class or chasse-ing down a hotel hallway with my two daughters, I am inspired by the contagious joy, power, and healing energy that is created when dancing together.

I have luckily had the opportunity to choreograph multiple dance flash mobs in the last couple of years including the ArtsWave Splash Dance on Fountain Square. So fun!

Why I live in Cincinnati: I live in Cincinnati because it is home. My family and friends are here and I continue to be inspired by the vibrancy of our arts and our dedication to the community as a whole.
