In 2006, the company capitalized on an opportunity to diversify and offer another service to its customers, starting HG Logistics to deliver its own products and become more integrated into the Hill and Griffith customer base.
HG is a third-party logistics provider that has expanded from the internal customer base of Hill and Griffith and branched out to offer freight services to many industries. HG handles all types of shipments, including oversized and refrigerated freight.
Its customers include White Castle Foods, the Port of Cincinnati, S&B Industrial Minerals and various project movers and rigging companies. Growth has been rapid. Since 2006, the number of employees has grown from one to 7, and the company has plans to add more. Its 2008 revenue is expected to nearly double from 2007 to $3.5 million.
